These were easy to put together. I did size 80 for Sami based on his measurements and they are roomy but I like them that way. Next time I might make them a wee bit shorter and put contrasting cuffs to match the pockets.
Sami wore them to a lunch today and I did get one remark about how big and baggy his shorts were and were they meant to be that way - ha-ha-ha she went, yeah right, I wasn't laughing so much (grumpy mood didn't help). Actually I don't think they are that big? Sure they are long but he stumbles and trips so much I like something over the knee for protection, anyway i am just being too sensitive I think ;-)
They are made from a very light corduroy with contrasting Bob the Builder pockets. I like the yoke and the double stitch on the pockets.
These are my first Otto pants so I am pretty chuffed, it has given me the confidence to try some more patterns which otherwise might intimidate me.
Ottobre magazines are great. They come out four times a year and have A LOT of patterns in them. Of course you need to trace them etc and you do need some basic knowledge of sewing as the instructions are a bit on the slim side but you pretty much get it as you are going along. If you go to the site you can click on a mag and it will show you all the designs in a pdf file. These are the type of mags that will last you through your childrens growing years, great value if you sew lots.
Also I wanted to show you this lovely cardigan my Mum knit for Lulu, it is for next season and I just love it!
Thanks for stopping by ...
