Yesterday was Rainbow Day at the school. Instead of competitive sports days the school opts for a series of fun games for the kids who are divided up into 6 coloured teams. This year Lulu was in White and Laith was in Green but I really hope next year when I have three participating that they all get the same colour so I don’t have to wear two colours in support! They divide the day into two sessions where KG to Grade 2 is in the morning and Grade 3 – 5 is in the afternoon so lucky me got to spend the whole day at school
.
Lulu was up first with her transfer the water game. I tell you this girl could take on Forrest Gump I am sure!

Sami’s class came out to watch for a while and I love that Lulu got distracted to say hi to him.

Next was a game of statues …

Lulu just LOVES to chase anyone. Sometimes she goes too fast for herself!

They moved onto a ball game and then a rather large ball game where you had to kick the ball to the other side.

Lets just say I am glad she had leggings on. “Take that …”.

Her final challenge was an obstacle course which she blitzed no problems.

Actually she had another challenge in the gym but I had to leave to go and read to Sami’s EC class. We read Wombat Stew as the focus was to be on Aussie animals, it was lots of fun teaching the kids to say “G’day mate”.
After lunch it was Laith’s turn to shine.

He also loved the water transfer game …

Then Laith moved onto the parachute test … lots of fun there.

They did a different challenge with the big ball. It is a bit hard to see him but the ball is just over him at this point, he has the long sleeves on.

When the day was over the children ran out onto the field and did a surprise dance for the teachers. It was fantastic and they had managed to keep it a secret from all the staff except the PE teachers who taught them of course.

And here is Mr. Hovland the Elementary Principal picking up on the moves.

And the other champ of the day was Sami who patiently stayed at the school all afternoon without much fuss … thank you my lovely boy xxxx

Needless to say it was a long exhausting day but everyone came home happy and tired.
Update on the February Challenge. Pretty good on the No/Low spend but not a lot of decluttering done this week.
Thanks for stopping by …
