To cheer her up we have a softie angel bear with her name embroidered down the bottom (bit hard to see in the photo sorry, click to enlarge). The softie has a minkee outer, and her wings are flannel with some sherpa and plastic inside so they "crinkle". Inside the bear is a small piece of fabric with lavender oil so she smells nice.
The softie is an In-The-Hoop design from Sewing For Sarah. The wings attach with a button so if you have other softies you can put a button on them and add the wings too.
Now, she will need a bag to carry said bear home in from the hospital won't she? So here is a little one with hello kitty lining and a rose printed cord outer.
The tutorial for the bag came from craftster and can be found here. I changed it slightly and didn't turn the pieces to make a center seam as this bag is not intended to be worn over the shoulder.
We are gearing up for St Patrick's day tomorrow. Clothes are made (tick!), biscuits for nursery will be made this afternoon, felt hair clips still to be started but we are getting there.
