Three Months On ...

Well it has been 3 months since my last post so I am not sure where to begin.

We had a great time in Australia. The beginning was a little shakey as I got sick with shingles but then we headed up the coast for a nice relaxing (well as much as you can relax with 2 kiddlets) week. We stayed in Marocydore this time but I think both Mum and prefer Mooloolaba best at the end of the day.

While we were in Oz Lujayne started to crawling and pulling herself up onto anything and everything. She cut two teeth and said Dada and Baba.

Laith turned 3 and had a great birthday with Uncle Colm and Didi (Grandma - Mum) but Aunty Sharon was missing in action. They went out the airport to pick her up the morning of his birthday and came home three hours later empty handed - yep she got the date wrong! So off we went to the airport the next morning and so Laith got to have 2 bithdays - BONUS!

Aunty Sharon spoiled the kids rotten which of course they loved and lets just say that Laith thought Uncle Colm was the bees knees too. Didi was an enormous help and Laith keeps telling me know how much he misses her and can we go to her house tomorrow. Awwww.

The flights - don't ask! let us just say that I won't be travelling again with both of them by myself for a while!

On my return Sujata had left and the search for a new maid began as the one I had arranged before leaving feel through. I am very glad to say the Norhan has joined us. She is from the Phillipines, 26, speaks good english and has taken to the kids well.

Ali is going on a holiday next month as he was not able to take leave when we were in Oz. He was going to go to Lebanon but with the crisis over there now it seems unlikely, but then you know Ali!

My hard drive crashed when I got back and this has been terrible as I lost all my internet stuff and let me tell you there was heaps and heaps of info and links for my nappies, blogs, banking, etc etc. So I am in the process of rebuilding it, thankfully I have a note book with some of my log on names and passwords.

Muscat is hot but I don't think this summer has been as hot as last summer. We have the warm August winds at the moment which is nice in the evening.

Sharon and Silvio are coming to pay us a brief visit next month so we are all looking forward to that. I just realised that Ramadhan will start 24th or 25th Sept so it looks like they will be here for that too.

One of my friends here is going through a rough time as her husband had a heart attack last week and died, it has been such a shock. She has 3 little ones and my heart goes out to her. It has of course made me think about what would happen if ... in terms of details etc. I realised that Ali and I have not discussed this so as you can imagine it has been my focus this week.

Well I think that is it in a nutshell. I got a new camera while away and have about 400 photos to sort through so once I get that done I will be sure to post some for you.

Lots of love, and take care until next time...
