New Sewing "Toys"

I promised you a peek at my new sewing toys. My sister heard my prayers regarding making the bias tape and got me a Bias Tape Maker.


Yes, you can make your own, but after making a wee sample strip using the machine yesterday I am converted. I am not sure how it would handle a thicker cotton as it does go through the iron pretty fast. But man this thing is FAST!

Cut your strips.

Load them on to the roller and through the attachment, across the iron and out the end.

And presto, your binding is done. At a rate of 3.5 mtrs per minute it is my new best friend!

My second gift was this Rotary Cutting Machine.
If you are doing a heap of strips this is nice gadget to have ;-)
Set the guide at the width you want. Feed your fabric through.

And viola there you have it. Super easy!
