Legoland Day 1

Whew what a huge day, we are all exhausted but we had a great day. 

It was an early breakfast this morning to ensure that we were at the park gates by 9am. 

The lego pieces in the restaurant are fantastic.

The food is basic buffet fare but there is something there for everyone. The only downside is that incredibly sticky syrup.

The most challenging part of this trip is keeping up and staying patient with Eyad. He is basking in the terrible 2's glory and meals can be difficult. Once he is done, he is done and then he is up and running off and let me tell you that kids doesn't look back. So after he and Sami were finished this morning I took them to the Lego Castle in the lobby so they could play while the others finished their breakfast in peace. 

A benefit of staying at the hotel is that you get an early entrance to the park to ride a few selected rides. We started on the Coastersaurus which had a real yell of start but was great fun. 

As you can see Eyad thought it was fantastic.

I like the fact when you are waiting on the ride queues there are play areas for the kids to keep them entertained.

Next stop was DuploLand which of course the big kids love just as much as the little ones. 

The kids went on to get their drivers license and drive some Lego cars. Eyad was very funny as he moved about 3 meters as he could not grasp the concept of keeping his foot down all the time, lol. 

We walked on through to Fun Town and stopped at the Clubhouse to chill (literally) while the kids made some Lego creations. 

There was a great factory tour of how Lego is produced. We stopped for lunch and then took a stroll through MiniLand. Laith's favourite part of course was the Starwars MiniLand. 

Ali took Sami and Eyad back to the hotel as they had got to "that" point that every parent knows and dreads. 

If you have wondered how to better store all those little Lego pieces then have a look at the maintenance area it was brilliant. 

 

We went to a roller-coaster after that and while we were on line the coaster stopped just as it reached the top! Seriously I was not impressed and thankfully the kids decided not to wait until they got the people off and got the maintenance team to come and look at the problem. 

There was a very cool 4D Clutch Powers movie and then we wandered through a few more sections. By 5pm we were tired and ready to call it a day after all there alway is tomorrow!
