Welcome Lujayne Al Abri

On Wednesday 16th November at 12.35pm we welcomed Lujayne Al Albri to this crazy mixed up world of ours. She was born by caesarean section weighing 4.220kg (9.3 lbs), head circumference 37cm and length 53cm.

Not far from her brother who weighed in at 4240kg and 38cm HC, not sure about length but definitely a little longer.

Laith has been pretty good with his new sister … so far … so fingers crossed that will continue. She is a bright bub and has lungs on her that any opera singer would die for!

Ali was there for the operations and took Lujayne off for her first check up. He was great! here is the proud dad when we got back to the room.

Mum was also on stand by and assisted with her first bath.

We came home from hospital last Sunday and have had a rollercoaster week, the usual ups and downs of a newborn in the house (lack of sleep being the main challenge).

Sorry it took a while to get these photos out to you.

Lujayne has a very strong personality and she is already bossing me around.

Lujayne - it's meanng in Arabic is "silver", and as she is precious and our 2nd we thought this a very fitting name.

Be back with more updates soon.
